It has been a truly remarkable year of growth and success for My Wine Society. From social media milestones to worldwide travel, we have truly made the most out of 2018. So come take a walk with us through memory lane as we look back at our year of accomplishments and achievements.
This past year has brought us so many remarkable partnerships that we are beyond thankful for! Here are some of our most pivotal relationships from 2018; My Wine Society partnered with Skylab to launch the My Wine Society app, where our members and partners can connect, interact, and engage with the wine world. MWS also partnered with The WONIEVA Group, our internal business and marketing support. Feast It Forward became our leader in online content production and our northern hub for MWS! We, also, partnered with numerous wine merchants and vendors, such as: Wine Trade Network, SorieeHome and Vinformants. There are countless other partnerships that we are incredibly thankful for all of which you can check out on the app!
This year MWS has really expanded not only our global reach via Brand Ambassadors around the world but also our internal team. What started as a dream team of a few people has quickly grown to a global network helping wine lovers around the world unite! We have domestic Brand Ambassadors in Sonoma, Napa, Temecula and more and global ambassadors in places like Barcelona, France, Germany and South Africa! This type of reach is really allowing MWS to take things to a new heights.
My Wine Society also did some traveling this year, and oh the places we went… Our initial round of research and meetings took us to Napa where we met global influencers and brand representatives. MWS crossed the pond to Europe for another round of initial meetings and introductions. These meetings took place in Monaco, Nice, Budapest, Belgium, and Spain, as we researched the possibility of development for the European Market. Next we traveled to Western Australia to secure initial Brand Ambassadors and regional partnerships for our first Australian launch. We also travelled to Gourmet Escape in Margaret River to meet and greet with industry influencers and regional brands.
My Wine Society has had such an incredible year of firsts and as we continue to expand we will celebrate the monumental moments of business growth! So cheers to getting more downloads of the app than most apps ever get and surpassing 3,000 followers on Instagram. And two thumbs up for receiving the #1 spot for most engaged users in-app within Skylab during the first month within the app stores. It has been a successful year through and through for My Wine Society and we are really looking forward to what 2019 has to offer!
